THE LIGHT OF THE QUR'AN THAT ILLUMINATES THE MOSQUE AFTER SUNSET

Knowledge is not enough, we have to practice it. Intention is not enough, we have to do it. That's the right sentence given to Ahmad Zaki Ghifari a student who majored in Information Technology or usually called Zaki. Every day, after the prayer Magrib Zaki always keep time to guide and teach his friends to study, or just reading (tadurus) Al-Quran together.

According to Zaki, there is a sense of happiness when sharing what we have, let alone sharing the knowledge of religion, Insyallah given blessing for all of us, as long as we sincerely and want always there is a way for us. He said, when I met him after the tadarus together.

Friends who usually participate and want to be guided and taught by zaki are students who know Zaki as well. Usually after Maghrib prayer together, at Sultan Badlishah Mosque they make a circle, and open their Al-Quran respectively and recite it in turn. As I was at that time participating in the Quran tadarus, Zaki was not a proper teacher but like a friend so there was no tension between us and Zaki.

However, there are not too many people who participate, because Zaki did not open a class or forum like other activities, practically only his close friends who participated in the activities of Tadarus Al-Quran like this, and Zaki did not ask wages in this activity.

This activity is not always read Al-Quran but also filled with knowledge sharing among members, in this daily activity we also can ask things or problems to be asked, and will be answered by Zaki or the other friends. According to Zaki, all can be a teacher and have the right to provide knowledge to anyone.

This activity is not always located at Sultan Badlishah Mosque, Zaki also accept if my friends want to meet everywhere, such as Thursday (22/3/18), me and my friends meet and share knowledge in Petronas Lounge. In this discussion, we talked about conflict issues in Islamic countries, recognizing shari'a and prohibitions in Islam.

In this activity, Zaki also often invites Ustad Safrilsyah who is also a PhD student, as a moderator in our discussion or also in the Qur'an tadarus, in order to avoid misunderstandings, and so that if there are questions that may be difficult for Zaki to answer, can be answered by Ustad Safrilsyah.

Once in a while, Zaki just together with his friend to Tadarus Al-Quran, many people are still not aware to learn and practice the Qur'an, but that's the challenge we should be able to invite our friends for learning the sciences of the Qur'an or just sharing knowledge, he said.

Zaki also has an Islamic school background, during the time he attended junior high school and high school in Pondok Pesantren Modern Muhamadiyah Padang, from junior high to high school in studying the religion of Islam there, it is the courage to teach his friends what he has been taught by his teacher in Pondok Pesantren.

Viqri one of his friends in this activity also said, that Zaki's daily life is a friendly and very easy to mingle with other friends. Zaki also like to participate in activities at the Sultan Mosque Badlishah, such as attending magrib, review Thursday night, and other events.

Obviously Zaki and his friends must have their own challenges, such as lazy reading the Qur'an, boredom because the participants are not too much, there must be a sense of it and they are able to handle it, proven until now they are consistent in this activity and it has been running for eight months.

In this semester the activities of Tadarus Al-Quran in Sultan Badlishah Mosque, made as a container by IQRO Islamic Learning Club which is covered by Student Activity Unit (UKM) from Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia UUM, and Zaki also become one of Coordinator of Iqro, Zaki is responsible in da'wah and study.

In this activity under IQRO Islamic Learning Club, regularly conducting regular review every Friday night and evening, there are not many Indonesian students yet to attend, but socialization and notification are always conducted, so that students can find out information about the study.

Tadarus Al-Quran after the sunset prayer continues to run as usual, with the amount of information disseminated about Tadarus Al-Quran by IQRO, Zaki feel happy because a little bit more friends who participated in this Tadarus activity.

Zaki hope this activity will continue to run, and can be continued by the following generations, and Zaki do not think that the activities that used to be for just the two of them and now a little more than before. “Hopefully what I and my friends do will be useful for all of us”, he said.
